مساعد وزير الموارد البشرية والتنمية الاجتماعية يعلن عن انطلاق النسخة الثانية من هاكاثون الابتكار للتغيير نحو الأفضل

His Excellency the Assistant Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Joint Services, Mr. Ismail bin Saeed Al-Ghamdi, announced today, Wednesday, May 14th, the launch of the second edition of the "Hackathon Innovation for Change for the Better Future." This announcement was made during the Digital Transformation Forum held in the Eastern Province under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Governor of the region, and in the presence of a distinguished group of specialists, decision-makers, and experts from various sectors, as well as representatives from governmental, private, and non-profit entities.

His Excellency Mr. Al-Ghamdi stated that the Hackathon is a leading initiative by the Ministry to stimulate national talent in developing innovative technological solutions that address real challenges in the fields of labor and social development. This aligns with its digital transformation strategy, which seeks to adopt the latest technologies across all areas, with a particular focus on enabling artificial intelligence technologies and utilizing them as a key tool to enhance service quality, improve beneficiary experience, and reduce operational costs. He pointed out that the Ministry has already begun implementing AI solutions by integrating them into various operations and roles to maximize the benefits of modern technological capabilities and support its distinguished institutional performance.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development invited those interested in participating to submit their innovative technological ideas by accessing and registering on the platform via the following link: https://hackathon.hrsd.gov.sa/. The deadline for submissions is June 21st, 2025.

The Hackathon consists of three main stages. The first stage involves evaluating and reviewing all team submissions, identifying the most prominent ideas, and presenting them to a committee of experts for assessment based on their feasibility and implementability. The second stage includes comprehensive and diverse workshops for participating teams in the field of innovation, aimed at improving and developing the proposed innovations. In the final stage, the shortlisted initiatives will be presented, and the top 3 digital innovations will be selected.

It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, through the launch of the second edition of the Hackathon in conjunction with the Digital Transformation Forum, seeks to promote technology and innovation in the Kingdom and provide a conducive environment for talent development and the empowerment of national cadres in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship.
