In an expanded virtual meeting, His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Engineer/ Ahmad bin Sulaiman Alrajhi, met with more than 200 investors and representatives from the private and non-profit sectors who work in operating community centers for the care of people with disabilities. This meeting was held as part of the Ministry's keenness to empower and motivate investors to develop this vital sector and enhance the quality of its services.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency emphasized that People with Disabilities receive considerable attention from the wise leadership, as they are partners in development and an essential part of the fabric of society. He pointed out that Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 has given this group strategic attention through programmes and initiatives that promote social justice and improve the efficiency and breadth of services.
Alrajhi reviewed the ministry's strategy for People with Disabilities and the resulting quality programmes aimed at comprehensive empowerment in the areas of education, care, rehabilitation and employment. He explained that more than 35,000 beneficiaries received daily care services during the current year through 491 centers spread across various regions of the Kingdom.
The meeting witnessed an interactive discussion on opportunities for developing community centers and addressing operational challenges, with the active participation of investors and interested parties, and in the presence of ministry leaders. This was in enhancement of the partnership approach with the non-governmental sector and to achieve an advanced operational model based on quality and sustainability, in line with comprehensive national objectives.
