The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has launched the “Anwart” initiative for the Hajj season 1447H, as part of its integrated service ecosystem aimed at enriching the experience of the Guests of Allah through Specialized initiatives that provide comprehensive humanitarian and organizational services. The initiative contributes to enhancing volunteerism and community engagement while supporting reception, organization, and guidance efforts across various locations serving pilgrims during the Hajj season.

The initiative focuses on delivering reception and organizational services across land, air, seaports, and railway stations, facilitating entry and movement procedures for pilgrims. It also provides on-ground support to the Guests of Allah, particularly persons with disabilities and elderly pilgrims, through equipped services and trained personnel to ensure their comfort and safety while performing their rituals, reflecting the values of solidarity, volunteerism, and humanitarian work that characterize Saudi society.

This year, “Anwart” has expanded its community impact by introducing educational and awareness programs through family counseling centers, aimed at enhancing social awareness and strengthening family cohesion, in addition to providing guidance and support to pilgrims. Youth associations also play an active role in the initiative, engaging young men and women in a range of community activities serving the Guests of Allah.

In the area of volunteerism, the initiative includes the implementation of 10 activities and programs across key locations, with the participation of more than (1,500) male and female volunteers, who provide field support services in Makkah, Madinah, as well as at the Makkah Train Station and King Abdulaziz International Airport (Hajj Terminal). These efforts contribute to improving service quality and enhancing operational efficiency throughout the season. Social development centers are also delivering cultural and social programs aimed at building bridges of cultural communication between pilgrims and the local community through initiatives that promote humanitarian values and highlight the Kingdom’s civilizational image in serving the Guests of Allah.

As part of its awareness dimension, the initiative includes a dedicated track to combat begging, focusing on raising awareness of its social, economic, and security risks, while highlighting the relevant legal penalties. It also guides pilgrims toward official reporting channels and approved donation platforms, contributing to the regulation of charitable behavior and ensuring a safe and well-organized environment in Makkah, Madinah, and the holy sites.

The “Anwart” initiative is part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to support volunteerism, social responsibility, and family guidance during the Hajj season, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to enhance service quality and improve the overall experience of the Guests of Allah.
