The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has signed a cooperation agreement with the Bunyan Charity for Social Services, with the aim of expanding the scope of services provided to orphans and strengthening support programs for them.
The Ministry was represented at the signing ceremony by the Under-Secretary for Rehabilitation and Social Guidance, Dr Nasser bin Mohammed Al-Qahtani, and the Director-General of the General Directorate for the Care and Empowerment of Orphans, Ms Ibtihal bint Ali Al-Sa’awi; while the Association was represented by its Chairperson, Ms Turkia bint Fares Al-Fares.
The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation and integration between the relevant bodies, thereby contributing to the achievement of the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the development of social development work, as well as enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of programs and services aimed at orphans.
The agreement provides for a package of support services for orphans, including aftercare services, thereby helping to improve their quality of life and promote social stability.
The agreement builds on the Ministry’s efforts to strengthen integration between government bodies and the non-profit sector, thereby achieving social development objectives, enhancing opportunities for empowerment and independence among beneficiary groups, and improving the quality of services provided to them.
