Al Riyadh Center for Policies organizes a workshop (Application of Behavioral Policies in the Labor Market)

On Tuesday, October 3, 2023 AD, Al Riyadh Center for Policies affiliated with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development organized a workshop, in city of Riyadh, titled (Application of Behavioral Policies in the Labor Market) in the presence of His Excellency the Vice Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor, Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Abu Thanin, and His Excellency the Assistant Minister of Resources. Human Services for Shared Services, Mr. Ismail Al-Ghamdi, the Undersecretary for Social Security and Empowerment Agency, the official in charge of managing the work of the social development sector, Engineer Sultan Al-Jaris, and a number of officials. The workshop was opened by the Undersecretary, representing Skills and Training Dept., Dr. Ahmed Al-Zahrani, General Supervisor of the Al Riyadh Center. 
The workshop aims for the application of behavioral insights into labor market programs and policies, and for the provision of innovative solutions to improve the outcomes of labor market policies. It involved a review for a number of subjects, including the highlight of the essential role of behavioral sciences in decision-making, and the display of its latest developments and influential contributions inside and outside the Ministry, such as the diagnostic reports prepared, the behavioral experiments conducted, and the next steps planned in order to improve behavioral policies in the Saudi labor market.

It is worth noting that the Al Riyadh Center for Behavioral Curricula was approved as an initiative to establish and run a network for sake of exchanging expertise and experiences in behavioral curricula at the G20 level. This is to motivate the continuous progress and to enhance cooperation among the G20 members in this field by reaping benefits from knowledge, experiences and expertise related to behavioral approaches and keep developing them by using the experimental approach to generate evidence and proof to support policy makers in the labor market through addressing the various challenges facing the labor markets in the G20 countries.
