The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development hosted the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in the Kingdom and the accompanying delegation

On October 25, 2023, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Abuthnain, Deputy Minister of Labor, His Excellency Mr. Maher Al-Qasim, Deputy Minister of Civil Service, His Excellency Mr. Ismael Al-Ghamdi, Assistant Minister, and His Excellency Mr. Sultan Al-Jarees, Acting Head of the Social Development Sector, met with the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in the Kingdom, Mr. Mohammed Al-Zarqani, and his accompanying delegation at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh.

The ministry's leadership welcomed the UN Resident Coordinator, congratulating him on his recent appointment. Both sides praised the effective role of the United Nations and its relationship with member states. The discussions covered current and targeted areas of cooperation between the ministry and the United Nations, including its various specialized agencies.

The UN Resident Coordinator expressed gratitude for the warm reception and commended the support provided by the Saudi government to the work of the United Nations and its multiple agencies. He also acknowledged the significant progress that the Kingdom has made across various sectors.

These meetings aim to explore common ground with the United Nations and ways to enhance collaboration. They also address issues of mutual interest and seek to unify efforts in achieving sustainable development goals within the framework of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
