The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has announced the implementation of Saudization (localization) for sales, purchasing, and project management professions, effective from Sunday, 11/6/1445 AH (corresponding to December 24, 2023). And the expiration of the grace period specified in advance comes as a continuation of the Ministry's efforts aimed at providing a stimulating, productive, and stable work environment for citizens in various provinces of the kingdom, raising the level of their participation in the labor market, and enhancing their contribution to the economic system.

It includes the Saudization of sales professions by 15%, and the most prominent professions are: (Sales Manager, Retail Sales Manager, Sales Specialist, Wholesale Sales Manager, ICT Device Sales Specialist, Sales Representative).

It includes the Saudization of procurement professions by 50%, and the most prominent professions are: (purchasing manager, purchasing representative, contract manager, tendering specialist, and procurement specialist).

The Saudization of project management professions in the first phase also includes 35%, and the most prominent professions are: (Project Management Manager, Project Management Specialist, Project Manager, Project Management Office Specialist, Communications Project Manager, Project Manager for business services).

The Ministry confirms that it will provide a package of incentives and support to support private sector establishments and assist them in recruiting Saudis, including supporting the recruitment process and searching for suitable workers, supporting training and qualification, the recruitment process and career continuation, in addition to the priority of benefiting from all Saudization support programs available to the system, and support programs through the Saudi Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf).

The Ministry issued a guideline detailing the decisions of professions Saudization and the mechanism of its implementation and stressed the need for institutions to comply and abide by the application of the provisions, to avoid the regular penalties that will be applied against violators.
