معالي نائب وزير الموارد البشرية والتنمية الاجتماعية للعمل يفتتح أعمال برنامج تبادل المعرفة السعودي البحريني لتنمية مهارات القوى العاملة

His Excellency Dr Abdullah Abu Thnain, Deputy Minister for Labor, opened the Saudi-Bahraini Knowledge Exchange Program on workforce skills development, in partnership with the World Bank and the ‘Skills Empowerment in Bahrain’ program, which took place in Riyadh from 16 to 18 June 2026. The event was attended by a select group of specialists, decision-makers and professionals working in the skills and training sector from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as a number of international experts specializing in skills development and workforce planning, including experts from the International Labour Organization.

His Excellency Dr Abdullah Abu Thnain, Deputy Minister for Labor, emphasized the importance of exchanging knowledge and expertise on skills systems to keep pace with rapid economic and technological transformations. He also emphasized that workforce development is one of the key enablers of the economic transformation led by Saudi Vision 2030, through the establishment of an integrated system that links economic, educational, training and labor policies, and enhances the ability of individuals and organizations to adapt to future requirements, while commending the World Bank’s support for this knowledge partnership and the existing cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain in this field.

This program forms part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and the exchange of expertise and knowledge between the two sides in the field of human capacity development, and to support those working in the skills and training sector, while drawing on leading international experiences and practices and capitalizing on available opportunities to develop policies and programs related to workforce skills development.
