The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development concluded yesterday, Sunday, 3 May 2026, the activities of the Qassim Skills and Training Forum “Waad”, which was held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal Mishaal Saud Abdulaziz, Governor of Al Qassim Province, and attended by H.E. Dr. Abdullah Nasser Abuthnain, Vice Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, along with several ministry leaders and regional officials.
The forum resulted in the provision of 30,000 training opportunities for the men and women of Al Qassim Province through 2028. These opportunities are designed to develop future-oriented skills aligned with the region’s economic strengths and labor market needs through training pathways covering the agricultural sector, business administration, self-employment, and commerce, thereby maximizing the benefits of the region’s competitive advantages.
The forum also witnessed the signing of 12 cooperation agreements aimed at developing the skills of the region’s workforce and expanding training and qualification opportunities, further strengthening collaboration between public and private sector entities in advancing national talent development.
In addition, the forum featured an accompanying exhibition with the participation of 19 partner booths, showcasing leading national initiatives for skills development, while highlighting in-demand labor market skills and available training pathways.
The “Volunteer with Your Expertise” initiative played a key role during the forum, with the participation of 23 consultants who delivered 92 specialized advisory and training sessions, providing professional guidance and career counseling to beneficiaries, students, and individuals seeking personal and professional development opportunities.
The forum attracted more than 2,000 visitors, who benefited from practical workshops and advisory sessions focused on developing professional and workplace skills, while promoting a culture of lifelong learning and continuous development.
The Al Qassim Skills and Training Forum “Waad” reflects the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to develop human capital, enhance the readiness of the national workforce, and equip Saudi men and women with the skills required to meet evolving labor market demands and seize future opportunities.
