Holding the 5th session out of (13) of Social Dialogue Forum in 2023
Publication date: 25 October 2023 - 10 Rabi' al-thani 1445The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, represented by the Labor Market Policies Agency and in cooperation with King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue, held the fifth dialogue session out (13) of Social Dialogue Forum for the year 2023 in center headquarter at Al Riyadh, under the title: “Legislations and Government policies - visions and aspirations.”
The agenda of this session addressed directly a number of adopted initiatives to implement the proposed recommendations in accordance with the subjects discussed during Social Dialogue Forum this year. Those subjects examines work-related injuries as in the Social Insurance Law; the procedural services provided to employers and employees/workers; the extent to which we can take advantage from all of these; the working mechanism of the contract documentation program, the relevant challenges, and ways for addressing them; revising legislations governing and regulating the labor courts in terms of the type of cases brought before courts, and the mechanism for implementing judicial decisions in labor lawsuits.
This session was attended by His Excellency the Undersecretary for Labor Market Policies at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, Mr. Muhannad bin Ahmed Al-Issa, during which H.E delivered a speech through which he welcomed the participants and stressed on the Ministry’s keenness to support initiatives, implement recommendations, and address the challenges emerging from those sessions in a way that contributes to the growth of the labor market.
While His Excellency the Deputy Secretary-General of King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue, Mr. Ibrahim bin Zayed Al-Asiri, participated in this session by welcoming the participants, during his speech, H.S also emphasized on the Center’s willingness to provide all the necessary needs for the success of such sessions and forums, which undoubtedly have an impact in supporting the labor market by means of devising proposals and recommendations.
Moreover, His Excellency the Assistant Undersecretary, representing Labor Market Policies Dept. at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, Mr. Badr Al-Sulaea, attended and participated in the session.
Also, this session brought together representatives of the government delegation, who attended in name of the relevant government agencies (Ministry of Justice - General Organization for Social Insurance - Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development); as well as representatives of the Saudi National Committee of Workers Committees; in addition to the participation of representatives of employers from the Council of Saudi Chambers: which are 45 participants presented 21 whitepapers, accompanied by a number of discussion and dialogue rounds, which contributed to the approval on a number of initiatives supporting the forum’s themes and subjects.
