"H/E the Minister of Labor and Social Development ,Dr. Ali bin Nassir AL-Ghafis visited the day before yesterday , the general rehabilitation center in Dammam , in the Eastern Region, where H/E has been acquainted with the services provided by the center to the inmates.
H/E the Minister took around, during his visit, in the centers pavilions and facilities, and got acquainted with the center’s most important departments and sections and the quality of the service provided to the inmates. H/E also has been given an extensive explanation about the lanes of each service provided ,and he directed to provide the best services to the inmates and to meet their needs.
The general rehabilitation center in Dammam holds variety of the training courses to the inmates on the occupations that suit their abilities where the vocational division in the center is considered one of the most important sectors for rehabilitation. The center also includes a number of sections such as the agricultural section, the sanitary fittings , Administrative communication sections , general electricity section , computer section and other sections.
It is noteworthy stating that the Ministry of Labor and Social Development provides its services through 38 rehabilitation centers spreading all around K.S.A regions where the number of the beneficiaries from these centers has reached 7825 persons and besides the rehabilitation the services of lodging , treatment and subsistence are also provided . Moreover the general rehabilitation centers provides the permanent and full lodgment for the persons with medium and severe disabilities of those who are incapable to receive the vocational training as a result of their severe disabilities or the duality or doubling disabilities
