Dr. Tamdar Al-Ramah, speaking at the Higher Education Conference: We are working in the Ministry of Labor and Social Development to achieve 12 goals to improve the level of our services

Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Development for Social Development Dr. Tamadr Bint Yousif Al-Ramah confirmed that the ministry is working on achieving 12 goals in the national transformation program which stems from the vision of the Kingdom 2030 to improve the level of services provided to its beneficiaries to reach a prosperous future and sustainable development. She added that the ministry is working to empower the beneficiaries of social services who are able to work to depend on themselves by integrating them into the labor market, It also aims at raising the level of sustainable economic contribution to volunteerism, intensifying voluntary opportunities of quality for all those wishing to participate in the Kingdom and enriching their experiences with volunteer experiences by increasing the number of volunteers from 23,000 to 1 million by 2030 and raising the economic value of the volunteer from 0. SR 6 to SR 15 per hour. Dr. Al-Ramah added that the ministry seeks to increase the focus of local partnerships on social responsibility, diversify its activities, increase its contribution through the provision of community development services, as well as increase the economic contribution of the non-profit sector to GDP from 0.3% to 0.6% and the percentage of employees from 0.13% to 0.32%, pointing out that the ministry is working to establish a national center for the development of non-profit sector and its development and independence and contribute to enhance the coverage of development needs. The Ministry is concerned with raising the social and developmental revenue from the initiatives and services of the non-profit sector organizations, increasing their effectiveness, and enhancing their role in providing and implementing innovative solutions to meet development challenges and needs, creating opportunities for social investment, as well as developing legislation and services for persons with disabilities. Opportunities for them to be active, progressive and integrated in the society, by increasing the proportion of workers from 7.7% to 12% by 2020, pointing out that the Ministry has established for this purpose the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities, Intention of persons with disabilities, where Saudi Arabia is a member of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its Optional Protocol to the United Nations. Dr. Al-Rammah stressed that the work of women is a right and a necessity imposed by conditions of life and not welfare or secondary order, pointing to the National Transformation 2020 program set a goal to increase the participation rate of women in the labor market from 17% to 25% . The Kingdom is seeking to develop and provide a unified national platform for all means of support, through which it will create systems, policies and programs to assist security groups in coping with crises and shocks, empowering them and creating suitable jobs for them.
