On Tuesday, the Ministry of Labor and Social Development held two workshops on the most important social issues that can be solved through social impact investment, attended by about 90 government agencies and non-profit organizations. The two workshops are part of the initiative to devise investment packages and models of social impact, one of the initiatives of the national transformation program 2020. The aim of the workshop is to develop regulatory frameworks and facilities to attract capital from the private sector and non-profit to maximize capital. Which contributes to raising non-oil GDP and achieving higher value added. The workshop aims to identify the most important social issues of importance and priority from the point of view of specialists and interested participants in the workshops, and discuss the experiences of previous social investment locally and how to deal with them. For his part, the Director of Wafi International, the consultant partner of the initiative, Mr. Ibrahim Al-Turki, presented to the audience a presentation on the concept of investment with social impact and its objectives and the most important challenges facing it, and the intersection with other related concepts, types of investment with social impact, in addition to the most important international experiences in this field . The Ministry of Social Development will hold a workshop for investors and donors within the framework of the initiative to review the most important social issues and the proposed investment solutions.
