The Ministry of Labor and Social Development confirmed that the Social Development Program for the Northern Frontier Region, inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of the Northern Border Region, in the presence of the Minister of Labor and Social Development Eng. Ahmed bin Suleiman Al Rajhi, To promote social development in the region and to empower the sons and daughters of the region through a highly efficient social services system, programs for the non-profit sector, and the empowerment and promotion of its organizations as a systematic and sustainable institutional work. The ministry explained that the program of social development for the regions, one of the programs and initiatives of the 45 development sector launched by the ministry recently, and will be the northern border area is the first areas covered by this development program, and will follow other areas, God willing. The program includes 10 initiatives that will be implemented to promote social development in the northern border area. It will train the development sector staff in the ministry to provide them with high skills in managing development projects and other fields. The program will also prepare youth leaders for community development and build the competencies of the sons and daughters of the region. In cooperation with the Council of the region to implement programs in various areas, as well as improving social services through the development of existing centers and the preparation and rehabilitation of family counselors in the centers of the region. The program includes an initiative to promote young people from the social security families to small enterprises in various activities, establish a nonprofit forum and implement a forum to support promising women leaders in the region by providing specialized programs to empower Saudi women in the region. The program also includes an initiative to establish specialized development societies and committees, launching a volunteer work unit to encourage the people of the region to participate in voluntary activities, and establishing a consultative council for persons with disabilities, as well as holding specialized forums in the region.
