MLSD conducts 15,000 inspection rounds on car rental shops, uncovering 551 violations

The Ministry of Labor and Social Development (MLSD) conducted 15,595 inspection rounds on car rental shops across various regions of the Kingdom to make sure employers comply with the decision aiming to nationalize the car rental sector. During the crackdown, the inspection rounds have uncovered 14,301 entities that comply with the decision compared to 450 not failing to do so. The labor inspectors warned 615 entities if they continue to ignore the decision, uncovering 551 violations. The nationalization of the car rental sector which has come into effect since March 18 in all regions of the Kingdom targets specific areas, namely accounting, supervision, sales, delivery and shipping. Previously, the MLSD urged customers to report labor violations or submit inquires through contacting the Customer Service no. (19911) or using the ‘Ma3an Lil Rasd’ app on smart phones.
