The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has announced the start of the second phase of localizing licensed aviation professions.
Publication date: 25 March 2024 - 15 Ramadan 1445The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, in partnership with the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, announced the beginning of the second phase of localization of licensed aviation professions for private sector establishments employing 5 or more workers in one of the targeted aviation professions, as of 08/23/1445 AH corresponding to 4 March 2024 AD, as this comes within the efforts of the two ministries to provide stable and stimulating job opportunities for male and female citizens and increase their level of participation in the labor market.
In the second phase of the decision, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development explained the targeted professions, which are 60% flight attendants and 70% fixed-wing pilots, with the requirement that workers in the targeted aviation professions obtain a professional accreditation certificate from the General Authority of Civil Aviation.
The Ministry of Transport and Logistics confirmed its keenness to follow up on the implementation of the second phase of localization of licensed aviation professions, and to enable private sector establishments to access all support and employment programs provided by the human resources and social development system, to support them in employing and attracting national talents.
A procedural guide outlining the decision's details, the means by which it will be carried out, and the employment and assistance initiatives given to private sector businesses was released by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
