The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced the launch of the fourth phase of the wage transfer service for support workers (domestic labor) electronically through the officially approved platforms, effective from 1 October 2025 AD. This qualitative step aims to guarantee the rights of support workers regarding their salaries and to enhance transparency in the contractual relationship between employers and workers.

The ministry clarified that the fourth phase includes employers with two or more domestic workers, continuing the previous phases that were implemented gradually. The second phase (January 2025) included employers with four or more domestic workers, followed by the third phase (July 2025) for employers with three or more domestic workers. The service is expected to be fully implemented to all support workers by 1 January 2026 AD.

The ministry affirmed that the electronic wage transfer service through the “Musaned” platform represents a pivotal step toward enhancing the reliability of wage payment processes through officially approved channels such as digital wallets and participating banks. This ensures the protection of rights and facilitates procedures for all parties, contributing to improved service quality and the development of the support worker sector.

The ministry added that the service provides a number of features, most notably the documentation of regular salary payments for support workers and the facilitation of the completion of official procedures upon the termination of the contractual relationship or the worker’s departure. It also enables the transfer of salaries to workers’ families in their countries through official channels in a smooth and secure manner, thereby enhancing transparency and reinforcing legal safeguards for both the worker and the employer.

This initiative comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to develop automated services through the “Musaned“ platform, contributing to the enhancement of the beneficiary’s experience and reflecting the ministry’s approach to promoting efficiency and transparency. It aligns with the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 in developing the labor market and improving the quality of life.
