The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has made a new achievement, adding to its track record of successes, as the project of "Strategy Development for the Social Development Sector for People with Disabilities" took the second place in the category of the best social project, at the Global Project Excellence Award 2025. The Ministry was represented by the undersecretary of Rehabilitation and Social Orientation, Dr. Nasser bin Mohammed Al-Qahtani, who received the award.
The Ministry, through this project, aims to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of social services provided to people with disabilities and develop a business model that supports the Ministry in the process of transition from the operational role to the legislative and supervisory role. The project "development of the social strategy for people with disabilities" focuses on the social sector to be a leader in integrating people with disabilities and enabling them to participate independently in all aspects of life, through ensuring high-quality social services, enacting policies, regulating and monitoring the sector, while enhancing the participation of the private and non-profit sectors in the provision of services, and providing empowering factors therefor.
This Award comes as an affirmation of the Ministry's leadership in using the best international practices in project management, and reflects its continuous efforts in upgrading the social development sector through innovation in policies and projects, and the application of standards of corporate excellence at all stages of work, from planning to implementation and evaluation.
It is worth noting that the Ministry seeks through these partnerships to develop the quality of services, which reflects its firm commitment to achieving the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030 in building a vibrant society whose members enjoy empowerment, participation and welfare.
