The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has announced an update to the decision on Saudization of administrative support professions in the private sector, effective 5 April 2026. The update includes the addition of 69 professions within the scope of jobs subject to 100% Saudization, in accordance with the definitions and occupational titles approved in the Unified Saudi Occupational Classification. The Ministry stated that this update is part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the participation of national talent in the labor market and to provide attractive and productive employment opportunities for Saudi citizens, both male and female, across all provinces of the Kingdom.
The Ministry further explained that the updated decision includes the addition of several job titles across the fields of secretarial work, clerical work, translation, data entry, and administrative support. The decision applies to establishments employing one worker or more in the professions covered by Saudization.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has published the updated procedural guide on its official website, outlining the details of the newly added professions and the implementation mechanisms. The Ministry urging all establishments to comply with the decision in order to avoid the prescribed regulatory penalties for violators.
This update comes as a continuation of the Ministry’s efforts to Saudize specialized professions in the private sector. Private sector establishments will benefit from the support programs and incentives provided by the Human Resources and Social Development system, which include support for recruitment, training, qualification, employment, and job stability processes. They will also benefit from priority access to Saudization support programs, as well as programs offered by the Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF).
