His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, and Her Excellency the President of the Human Rights Commission, Dr. Hala bint Maziad Al-Tuwaijri, signed today, Sunday, December 4, 2026 corresponding to 15 Rajab 1447 AH (04/01/2026 AD), a joint memorandum of understanding aimed at promoting and protecting human rights in the Kingdom, during a ceremony held at the Ministry's headquarters in Riyadh, in the presence of His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Labor, Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Abuthnain, and a number of leaders and employees of both sides.
The Memorandum of Understanding aims to strengthen the frameworks of institutional cooperation between the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and the Human Rights Commission, in a way that contributes to supporting a fair and safe work environment, and consolidating regulatory practices consistent with national regulations and relevant standards, and in a way that achieves justice and transparency for all parties to the contractual relationship in the labor market.
The two parties stressed that the signing of the memorandum reflects their keenness to unify national efforts and enhance institutional integration in issues of humanitarian and social dimension, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and contributes to the development of the labor market system, raising the level of compliance, and enhancing the protection of rights through regulatory frameworks and approved policies.
This memorandum comes within the framework of the strategic partnership between the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and the Human Rights Commission, confirming the commitment of both parties to support national efforts aimed at establishing a fair and safe work environment, and promoting regulatory practices in accordance with the best local and international standards.
