The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) has announced launching the “Ajeer Al-Hajj” service for the 1446 AH season, to facilitate the employment of seasonal workers by allowing businesses to hire Saudi citizens and residents through temporary contracts during the Hajj period. The service connects job seekers and employers through the “Bab Ajeer” platform. The Ministry called on individuals interested in working in the holy sites during the Hajj season—both Saudis and residents—to submit their CVs through the platform, in line with ongoing efforts to streamline employment procedures and support labor organization for businesses and workers during this critical period.
This initiative is part of the Ministry’s broader strategy to elevate the quality of services provided to pilgrims and enhance their experience during the Hajj season. The ministry also requires the establishments to issue Hajj permits for all their seasonal workers, and stresses that violators will subject to penalties as stipulated by national labor regulations. “Ajeer Al-Hajj” enables employers to issue work permits and hire workers temporarily, while also allowing them to post available job opportunities directly on the platform. Job seekers, in turn, can browse and apply for these opportunities.
The Ministry emphasized that “ Ajeer Al-Hajj” platform aims to increase workforce flexibility, boost labor market efficiency, and reduce reliance on foreign recruitment through innovative and flexible employment solutions.
