His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Engineer Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi, signed a general labor recruitment agreement today, Sunday, 25 January 2026, with His Excellency the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Affairs of the Democratic Republic of Nepal, Mr. Rajendra Singh Bhandari, to recruit skilled Nepali workers across various specializations to the Kingdom.
The signing ceremony took place during a meeting between Engineer Al-Rajhi and Mr. Bhandari on the sidelines of the Global Labor Market Conference, in the presence of officials and specialists from both sides. The meeting also discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries to achieve shared objectives.
The agreement aims to establish a regulatory framework for all procedures related to Nepali workers in the Kingdom, ensuring ethical and effective recruitment, protecting the rights of both workers and employers, and regulating their contractual relationship.
This comes as part of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development’s ongoing efforts to build and strengthen international partnerships and relations with counterpart ministries worldwide, open new labor markets to ensure a balanced labor market, and explore cooperation across all levels to achieve mutual goals and interests.
