The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced the opening of registration for the 5th edition of the “Labor Award”, starting today, Sunday, 14 September, and continuing until 14 November. This initiative reflects the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to encouraging private sector establishments and recognizing outstanding practices in the labor market.
This year’s award is divided into five main tracks, covering Localization, Work Environment, Skills and Training, and CEO, in addition to a new track launching for the first time: Occupational Safety and Health. This is part of the Ministry’s efforts to enhance the competitiveness of the Saudi labor market and develop its environment in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The 5th edition witnesses a qualitative expansion, with the total number of awards increasing to 38, compared to 30 in the previous edition, reflecting the growing interest in the award and its significance as an incentive for establishments to achieve institutional excellence. Additionally, the Sports and Environment, and Water and Agriculture sectors have been added to the Localization track to align with the market’s strategic priorities. The new Occupational Safety and Health track includes two awards: “Institutional Excellence in Occupational Safety and Health” and “Elite Pioneers and Partners in Occupational Safety and Health”, bringing a total of eight new awards.
The 4th edition of the award witnessed wide participation, honoring 30 establishments and entities across various tracks. It contributed to raising awareness and enhancing the commitment of establishments to high-quality work environment standards, as well as adopting effective programs in localization and skills development. The 5th edition now reinforces the continuation of this approach and deepens its impact through greater expansion and more comprehensive tracks.
