The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, in cooperation with the National E-Learning Center, launched the Innovation Challenge "Skills of the Future: From Diagnosis to Empowerment", as part of the initiative of the “Sandbox AI” initiative, which aims to stimulate the national innovation ecosystem in the field of artificial intelligence and employ it in the development of human capital.
The challenge aims to create smart technical solutions based on artificial intelligence to diagnose and guide skills and raise the efficiency of training in government agencies, by linking the technical skills of employees with the available development opportunities, which contributes to achieving higher efficiency in institutional performance and career empowerment. The challenge targets technology companies, EdTech developers, Research Centers and Learning Consultancy (L&D), experts, researchers and artificial intelligence teams, as well as innovators and specialists in future skills. This is part of the effort to build a national innovation community that provides viable solutions that contribute to the development of government work environments.
The challenge also provides an integrated qualitative support to the participants, including a financial grant of up to SAR 150,000 for the eligible solution, in addition to providing technical requirements such as artificial intelligence tools and techniques, and providing specialized consultations by experts and specialists in the field, to ensure that participants are able to develop viable innovative solutions.
The challenge was launched as a continuation of the efforts of the Ministry and the Center to transform challenges into development opportunities. It aims to promote the ethical and effective use of artificial intelligence technologies in education and training and provide decision makers in government agencies with data-based tools that contribute to improving the efficiency of human capital and realizing the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
