The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development concluded the training program "Technical Capacity Building", which was implemented over four days in cooperation with the International Labor Organization, with the participation of more than 140 trainees from national authorities concerned with skills development in the private sector, academies and sectoral skills councils. The implementation of the program comes as part of the Ministry's efforts to promote the application of training methodologies related to the labor market, and raise the quality of training programs based on national frameworks and standards for skills.
The program focused on providing methodological explanations and practical applications on the use of the national skills system in designing, delivering and evaluating employer-led training programs, as well as training participants to transform the skill needs of economic sectors into actionable training programs that respond to actual demand in the labor market.
The training workshops dealt with four main categories, including the leaders of the Skills and Training Agency, the academies and training centers of the "Skills Accelerator" program, the training providers and partners of the "Waad" program, and the technical committees in the sectoral skill councils, through practical models and practical exercises directed to each category according to its specialization.
These efforts come within the framework of the technical cooperation program between the Ministry and the International Labor Organization, which aims to transfer international expertise and develop practical tools that support the adoption of demand-based training methodologies, thus contributing to raising the quality of training and adapting it to the requirements of the labor market, in order to reach a more prepared and competitive national workforce.
