On the occasion of the 95th Saudi National Day, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development highlighted a series of qualitative and sustainable achievements accomplished during 2025, affirming its continued support for the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, enhancing quality of life, and empowering Saudi individuals in the labor market.

The ministry stated that the Kingdom achieved a prominent presence in international reports, with the International Monetary Fund praising the decline in the citizen unemployment rate to below 7% in the first quarter of 2025, alongside improvements in employment indicators and increased female participation in the labor market. The number of Saudi employees in the private sector reached 2.48 million men and women, thanks to nationalization programs that included 269 professional localization decisions in cooperation with various supervisory authorities, such as the Ministries of Health, Commerce, Municipal and Rural Affairs, and Housing. These decisions contributed to creating thousands of job opportunities, enhancing job stability, and increasing the competitiveness of the labor market. Additionally, 310,000 young men and women were employed under the nationalization program, with financial incentives exceeding three billion riyals provided by the first quarter of 2025.

Regarding women’s empowerment, their economic participation rate has risen significantly from 17% in 2017 to over 36% currently. Additionally, the proportion of women occupying mid- and senior-level leadership positions increased to 44.1% compared to 28.6% in 2017, reflecting the success of national initiatives in supporting women and enhancing their role in economic development.

In the field of social development, the Kingdom ranked 16th globally in the social responsibility Index, according to the IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook. The proportion of corporate contributions to social spending rose to 4.15%, with the private sector contributing over four billion riyals through the national platform for social responsibility. This enabled the launch of initiatives that benefited more than nine million people across various regions of the Kingdom.

The ministry highlighted that more than 23,000 social security beneficiaries were empowered during the first quarter of this year, including 19,472 through the employment pathway and 3,922 through the economic pathway. This was supported by the implementation of 121 training courses, 38 empowerment forums, and 42 partnerships with public and private sector entities.

The ministry enhanced its digital transformation through the unified application, which has surpassed five million users. The app provides 52 specialized digital services and has issued over 70 million digital cards. This has contributed to reducing beneficiary visits to service centers by 93% and increasing automated services to 80% of the total services provided, with plans to add 300 new services as part of its technological strategy to enhance the beneficiary experience.

The ministry’s achievements were not limited to domestic accomplishments, it also received regional and international awards, most notably the Arab Government Excellence Award as the best arab ministry, the Sharjah Government Communication Award in the category of best campaigns for positive impact on youth awareness, and the King Abdulaziz Quality Award at the gold level for 2025, in recognition of its efforts to improve services and systems.

In celebration of the 95th Saudi National Day, the ministry organized a distinctive national event that set a new world record in the Guinness World Record by creating the largest Saudi flag using mosaic art, with an area of 600 square meters. The achievement embodies the symbolism of the Saudi National Day and underscored the Kingdom’s steadfast progress toward sustainable development and the realization of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives.
