The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development organized today a ceremony honoring government employees who obtained professional certifications in the field of human resources, as part of the second edition of the Public Sector Professional Certification Program for the year 2024–2025 AD. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Fahd bin Mohammed bin Drees, Deputy Minister for Human Capital Development, Mr. Abdullah bin Saad Al-Ghamdi, Assistant Deputy Minister for Training and Development, along with a number of the Ministry’s leaders and employees.
This recognition comes as part of the Ministry’s efforts to adopt international best practices and standards in developing government leadership and enhancing the work environment. This is carried out in collaboration with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), and the Association for Talent Development (ATD).
The program included the training of 667 male and female employees representing 65 government entities, enabling them to obtain five internationally recognized professional certifications in the field of human resources. The training was provided through operational programs conducted both in person and remotely, with durations ranging from 8 weeks to 6 months, depending on the trainees’ levels and professional experience.
The initiative aims to enable government leaders and cadres to acquire modern knowledge and skills in human resources management, thereby contributing to enhancing institutional performance efficiency, improving the quality of services, and fostering work environment within the government sector.
These efforts come as a part of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development’s objectives to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which places the development of human capital at the top of its priorities as a key pillar for sustainable development and institutional excellence.
